Ministry Needs
We are truly thankful for everyone who helps support us financially. Not only do your gifts help provide the basic needs for our family but they also allow us to purchase important items for ministry. I thought it would be helpful for those who have been supporting us or who would like to help support us to know more specifically what their support is going towards. Below I've provided a basic list our expected living expense as well as the cost for items that are necessary or would be very helpful for ministry. The living expenses might change as they are estimates given to us by brothers in Christ who live there. As when we lived in Mexico, we seek to live as simply as possible and be good stewards with what the Lord has entrusted to us.
Family Expenses
Housing - about $350 a month/ 2 bedroom house (comes furnished) If we're able to find this it will be better than purchasing everything and then having to try to sell everything if and when we move to another part of the country.
Living Expenses $230 a month. To cover food for the six of us, incidentals for the family, utility bill, gas, taxis, ect...
Visa requirement - Every six months we will have to leave the country and come back in to fulfill the visa requirements. Most likely we will take a train to Pakistan, stay for a day, and then head back to where ever we are living. The train is probably the cheapest way to exit the country and come back in. I'll post this info when I have more details.
(We've already purchased our homeschooling curriculum for the next year and will be taking it will us. We've also purchased cloth diapers for the baby as they will help us save a lot of money.)
Ministry Expenses:
Bibles - We can purchase complete bibles for $2 each and New Testaments for .25 each. (Of course bibles and gospel tracts are most important as we preach the Gospel)
Tracts - We can print 5000 gospel tracts for about $60. (We'll be writing our own and having them printed)
Transportation and Training Expenses - about $200 a month. This will be for transportation to remote village and for using to supply materials for pastors conferences.
Would be helpful!
Honda Splendor Motorbike (or something similar) $1400 new or about $800 used. The brother I am working with in India has said this would be very helpful in getting to some of these remote villages. So this would be a huge blessing to be able to have one or two of these. However, regardless of whether the Lord sees fit to provided this for us or not makes no difference. The Lord has given us feet and shoe's and by His grace we can always hike to these places for the sake of the Gospel and for the proclamation of His Great Name!
Again we truly do thank you for your support! If you have any questions feel free to email me.
For His Great Name,
Sean Scott
